Camp Run-A-Muk, Big Bear Lake

June 2020

Every two years, we try to have a family get together. When we found Camp Run A Muk, we realized this was the perfect place for our family and it has everything you could need. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you are home. There is plenty of room for a large family like ours and there was plenty for people to do in the cabin. They have provided a ping pong table, pool table, fooseball table, hot tub, board games, televisions in most rooms and Wi-Fi for you to enjoy! If that doesn't thrill you, how about sitting outside on the beautiful deck and enjoying conversations while smelling the pine trees! The cabin is in a great location not far from town or the lake and there are also a few parks nearby to enjoy. 

The kitchen has everything! If you didn't bring it...they have it! 

Michele was great in communicating with us throughout the reservation process. We were there to get together as a family and this was the first mountain experience for some family members. What a great first impression! We also were celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of our parents and this trip will be a memorable one for all of us. This is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or just to hang out with friends or family. Thank you Michele for sharing Camp Run A Muk with our family and thanks for everything!

We were very happy with our choice. We were a family of 12--6 adults and 6 children. We had plenty of room and something for everyone. The house was well stocked with all the basic necessities and some extras--beach towels, for example. The kitchen was large and also well stocked with seasonings, sugar, flour, etc. We only had to purchase the actual food we wanted to prepare. There was a wide variety of pots and pans and utensils. The house was very roomy and comfortable with room to spread out. This was a family gathering of East Coast and West Coast that don't get to see each other very often. The children especially enjoyed the pool table, this is something they don't normally get to do. They were surprised to find out that their Granddaddy knew something about pool. We had plenty of room for playing games, watching TV or reading. We enjoyed a boat trip on the lake, some went tubing, shopping experiences in town, a variety of eating out choices. We enjoyed a trip to the Discovery Center and a drive up the mountain to see the largest living Lodge Pole Pine. We all thoroughly enjoyed out visit to Big Bear Lake and this home. There is much to do, more than we had time for. We were very comfortable and felt at home.

June 2020From the very first email inquiry to the check-out our experience was 100% positive! The owners and property both deserve 5 Stars+ This was the perfect home for us to gather youth and their leaders from our church to hold "Girls Camp." Think Troop Beverly Hills Girls Camp! (not one ounce of roughing it, more like luxury living) The home comfortably slept and accommodated 20 people. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining and was well-stocked with everything imaginable for gourmet cooking and eating! There's nothing that the owners haven't thought of and that's what I loved, feeling like I was Home away from Home!

LOCATION. The property is conveniently located to several markets and restaurants. Also, a short walk to the lake. The neighborhood is very quiet with minimal vehicular and pedestrian traffic. We loved the location! -KITCHEN. This was the best feature of the home besides the sauna, hot tub, pool table/ping pong table, and BBQ grill! There were enough plates, forks, knives, cups, spoons, and bowls to feed an entire army! The kitchen was well stocked with every imaginable cookware! PROPERTY OWNER. Michele was very easy to work with! I communicated with her on several occasions over the telephone and by email. She was always helpful, professional, and courteous! This home exceeded our expectations and provided an awesome space for us to rest and relax!

Very comfortable home with plenty to do for all inside and outside. Our kids and grandkids spent most of the day in the back yard building a snow man and igloo as well sledding down the slope, did not even leave the house. Perfect location, close to every. We highly recommend this property and its owners, we will definitely be coming back!!!

We had such an awesome weekend! This place was so nice! So much room. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, appliances you could think of. The location was close to the grocery store, skiing, sightseeing....The kids loved the bunny hill for sledding in the backyard! The owners were very nice and easy to talk to. Very organized and made the whole experience flawless. Can't wait to come back next year :)
