The Independence Day Fair features arts and crafts booths with unique and one-of-a-kind items. Vendors will be selling a variety of items including jewelry, home & garden decore, candles, homemade jams, health products, toys and vintage clothing. Watch as crafters make their wares onsite. A sampling of Bear Valley Farmer’s Market will also available throughout the day. Little visitors will enjoy a variety of activities include bounce house, arts & crafts, face painting, contests, and a variety of tasty treats.

However, they are discovered by the Bergens, large miserable creatures, who can feel happy  only after eating a Troll. The Bergens imprison the trolls and eat them  every year on a special occasion, called Trollstice.

The Annual Flower Show began while the U.S. was engaged in World War II  as a way to boost morale locally. The show continued in the coming years  as a gift to the community and a way to support local charities through  monetary donations. This year’s Flower Show will feature the following flower and plant  categories: cut flowers, wildflower arrangements, African violets,  miniature arrangements, perennials, annuals, all-white arrangements,  flowering and non-flowering house plants, roses, flower arrangements  with shells, multi-floral mixtures of annuals, perennials and/or  wildflowers, buds-and-bees-themed arrangements, children’s entries and  succulents.

Jefferson Starship was among the most successful arena rock bands of the 1970s and early  '80s, an even greater commercial entity than its predecessor, Jefferson Airplane, the band out of which it evolved. Many Jefferson Airplane fans decried the group's new, more mainstream musical direction, especially after Airplane singers Grace Slick and Marty Balin departed in 1978. But with shifting personnel, Jefferson Starship managed to please its new fans and some old ones over a period of a  decade before it shifted gears into even more overtly pop territory and  changed names again to become simply Starship.

Crafts N Cranks is a one-of-a-kind festival for mountain bikers, craft  beer aficionados, and outdoor enthusiasts, featuring two days of bike  competitions and beer tastings, with live music and a few carnival rides  mixed in for fun at SoCal’s home for year-round outdoor fun – Snow  Summit.

Big Bear Valley's rich history of cattle ranching is celebrated each  year at the Spirits of the West Brewfest - In honor of a simpler time,  when the Valley’s lush meadows and streams were home to thousands of  cattle guarded by West’s toughest cowboys. This National Day of the  Cowboy celebration is dedicated to preserving American cowboy and  cowgirl heritage. This three-day event at The Big Bear Convention Center is a fundraiser  for the Bear Valley Historical Society, the true keepers of our ranching  history. The Fun Run features a car show with 500+ cars - roadsters, classics, antiques and hot rods, lining the streets of Big Bear Village. Friday is registration day from 9-5 pm for participants at the Bartlett Parking Lot, Saturday is the day to view the cars on display from 9-4 pm and the Fun Run drive around the Lake takes place  at  4pm at the end of day on Saturday, and the awards ceremonies are on Sunday starting at 9:00 am.

They pay tribute to the songs by  nailing the performances, but also blow the crowds away with their live  presence, group banter and on-stage antics.

The 7th Annual Kodiak 100 Ultra Marathon

The 7th annual Kodiak Ultra Marathons will take place August 16-17, 2019 in beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. Big Bear Lake sits at 7,000 ft in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. The 100 mile distance will start and finish in the Big Bear Village and will circumnavigate the entire Big Bear Valley. The Kodiak also offers a 50-mile distance and a 50k, which will be run along the same track as the 100-mile race.

37th Annual Antique Wooden Boat Show

Pine Knot Marina

The show features classic wooden boats, Chris-Craft models and other  antique vessels. The event is sponsored by the Antique &  Classic Boat Society, Southern California Chapter, and Nottingham's  Tavern. Boats will be on display at the Pine Knot Landing Docks from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday the 17th. Admission is FREE, and most of the boat owners and skippers will be there to talk about the history of their boats.
